1979 Ford Pace Truck
When the mustang was named to pace the Indianaplois 500 in 1979 Ford took great care to make the pace car replicas stand out in a crowd. But what many people don't know is that Ford also made an Official truck that was also used at the Indianapolis 500. It had the same paint scheme as the Mustang did. Below I have included the only two photos that I have been able to find on these elusive trucks. At this point in time I have no clue as to how many were made or how many are left today.
